Screen mirroring is a great way to share content from your mobile device or laptop onto your Roku streaming device. Whether you want to show off photos, watch movies, or play games on a bigger screen, it’s easy to do with the right setup. Here’s how to screen mirror on Roku.
Step 1: Enable Screen Mirroring
The first step is to enable screen mirroring on your Roku device. To do this, press the Home button on your Roku remote and select Settings > System > Screen Mirroring. Make sure “Enable Screen Mirroring” is checked.
Step 2: Connect Your Device
Once you have enabled screen mirroring, you can connect your device to your Roku streaming player or TV. If you are using an Android phone or tablet, open the Settings menu and select Display > Cast (or Wireless Display). Select your Roku device from the list of available devices and follow any additional instructions that appear onscreen.
If you are using an iPhone or iPad, open the Control Center and tap the Screen Mirroring button. Select your Roku device from the list of available devices and follow any additional instructions that appear onscreen.
For Windows 10 users, open Action Center by clicking the Notifications icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar and select Connect > Project > Second Screen Only > Your Roku Device Name. Follow any additional instructions that appear onscreen.
Step 3: Enjoy!
Once connected, you can start streaming content from your device onto your TV or monitor via your Roku streaming player or TV. You can also use apps like AirBeamTV’s Screen Mirror Mac to stream content directly from a Mac computer to a compatible Roku TV model without needing any cables or adapters.
